Overview

Join a team that clears the path for you to thrive. As a Strategic Account Technology Strategist, you will partner closely with some of the world’s most innovative retailers to co‑innovate and co‑develop next‑generation solutions that address their most important business challenges. You will inspire senior retail technology and innovation leaders with a clear vision for how cloud and digital capabilities can transform their business, while helping them navigate complex decision landscapes.

In this role, you will serve as the strategic technology leader for your accounts, shaping the multiyear roadmap and orchestrating the right technical, sales, and partner resources to bring that roadmap to life. You will connect industry and business scenarios to Microsoft solutions, provide thought leadership in digital transformation, and create new demand by showing customers what is possible. You will also champion the customer’s perspective inside Microsoft, ensuring that solutions land with impact and deliver measurable outcomes.

In close collaboration with an Enterprise Account Executive, you will orchestrate the Microsoft and partner team to develop technology leadership and excellence for your customers. You will bring industry‑relevant solutions that help customers securely adopt and embrace artificial intelligence technologies. Drawing on a proven history of designing innovative technical solutions that achieve customer business objectives and drive account growth, you will combine your technology and industry expertise to deliver secure artificial intelligence solutions that accelerate customers’ vision and establish you as their trusted technology advisor.

Microsoft’s Enterprise Account Team focuses on empowering customers on their artificial intelligence transformation journey. This team is responsible for envisioning new possibilities for customers, delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes, and driving revenue growth for Microsoft.

Responsibilities

  • Customer AI and Security Strategy Leadership: Document and articulate the customer’s business objectives, technology landscape, and artificial intelligence and security strategy to lead and drive security and artificial intelligence conversations.
  • Customer Technology Leadership: Develop and nurture trusted relationships with senior technology executives across the business.
  • Drive Operational and Commercial Excellence: Lead technical decision maker conversations and governance with the customer and the virtual team to ensure the customer is using and realizing value from Microsoft’s portfolio of solutions.
  • Develop and execute an account coverage and execution plan: Aligns to quota, consumption goals, and customer success outcomes while leveraging partners and Microsoft resources effectively.
  • Engage deeply with customers: Using consultative selling skills and constructively challenge their assumptions through thoughtful dialogue about their business and technology.
  • Industry Knowledge: Articulate and understand specific industry‑related market trends, as well as customer threats, opportunities, and barriers to growth as they relate to the customer’s broader industry.

Qualifications

Required (RQs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field
  • 6+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience
  • Extensive experience in relevant customer industry
  • Extensive experience in digital transformation, or using technology to drive customer business outcomes

Compensation

Strategic Account Technology IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 79,700.00 - £ 133,900.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
