This is a rare and exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Adult Social Care in Dudley.

We are looking for an exceptional Strategic Adult Social Care Lead – Assurance and Continuous Development to drive excellence, innovation and continuous improvement across our services. This is your chance to shape the quality, culture and future direction of Adult Social Care—making a real and lasting difference to the lives of residents.

Working as part of our senior leadership team and reporting to the Associate Director, you will lead the assurance and improvement agenda across Adult Social Care. You will champion outstanding practice, embedding a strong culture of learning, accountability and high performance—ensuring services are safe, effective, compliant and consistently delivering positive outcomes.

This is a highly influential role where you will shape how we understand and improve practice, using insight, data and professional expertise to drive meaningful change. You will play a key part in ensuring Dudley is always inspection-ready, while leading transformation that strengthens services and supports our workforce to thrive.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and energize a high-performing assurance and improvement function
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning, innovation and practice excellence
  • Embed robust governance, risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Use data and insight to influence decisions and improve outcomes
  • Lead CQC readiness, inspections and improvement activity with confidence
  • Strengthen workforce capability, professional standards and development
  • Build strong partnerships to deliver joined-up, person-centred services

Working in the office 3+ days a week (pro-rata) or Onsite full time
