Role Description
The Strategic Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham. This role is responsible for advising the leadership team on business strategy, helping to shape long-term goals, and identifying opportunities to improve patient experience, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Day-to-day tasks include:

- Analyzing business performance data
- Conducting market and competitor reviews
- Developing strategic recommendations for service offerings and pricing
The Strategic Advisor will collaborate with executive management and key stakeholders to:
- Plan and oversee strategic projects
- Support change initiatives
- Ensure alignment between clinical care and business objectives
The role also involves:
- Preparing reports and presentations
- Facilitating strategic discussions
- Monitoring progress against agreed targets
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial, operational, and market data to inform strategic decisions.
- Consulting experience, with a track record of advising leadership teams and implementing practical solutions in a business or healthcare setting.
- Executive management exposure, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, influence decision-making, and support governance processes.
- Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and overseeing strategic initiatives from conception through implementation.
- Strategic planning capabilities, with experience in developing long-term business plans, setting measurable goals, and tracking outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative working style, with the ability to build relationships across clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business, Economics, Healthcare Management) or equivalent experience; experience in eye care or healthcare is an advantage.
