Strategic Advisory Director
Department: Sales
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: GBR London
Description
As Strategic Advisory Director, you will play a senior, client-facing role in originating, shaping, and winning high-value cyber opportunities for NCC Group. Working with senior client stakeholders and prospects, you will translate NCC Group’s technical depth, global cyber expertise, and market insight into compelling propositions that support strategic growth, strengthen executive engagement, and position NCC Group as a long-term cyber resilience partner.
This role combines strategic cyber advisory credibility with complex pursuit and commercial leadership. You will partner across sales, delivery, marketing, solution engineering, legal, finance, propositions, partnerships, and senior leadership to develop account strategies, shape transformational deals, qualify opportunities, and lead cross-functional teams through high-value pursuits.
You will bring a strong understanding of cyber risk, regulatory scrutiny, AI adoption, identity modernisation, third-party exposure, operational resilience, and assurance requirements.
We are looking for a number of Strategic Advisory Directors, each to support an assigned NCC Group vertical:
- Financial Services & Insurance
- Public Sector
- Industrials
- Technology, Media and Telecommunications
Key Responsibilities
- Originate, shape, and execute large, strategic cyber opportunities that support NCC Group’s growth ambitions, improve win rate, and increase pull-through across multiple capabilities.
- Build trusted senior relationships with client stakeholders, including CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, CROs, audit, risk, compliance, legal, privacy, and board-level audiences.
- Take a consulting-led approach to identify long-term, high-value opportunities by connecting client business priorities, regulatory pressures, and cyber risk to NCC Group’s propositions and capabilities.
- Lead cross-functional pursuit teams, bringing together expertise from across NCC Group and its partner ecosystem to shape commercially robust and client-relevant solutions.
- Apply disciplined opportunity qualification and governance, prioritising investment in deals with the strongest strategic fit and propensity to win.
- Advise clients across priority areas including technical assurance, cyber governance, regulatory readiness, digital identity, cloud security, application and product security, third-party risk, operational resilience, AI governance, incident readiness, continuous assurance, and proactive security.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
