About the Role
Our CEO is looking for a sharp, resourceful Strategic Assistant to become her trusted partner and right hand. Someone who can handle the detail and complete some of the day to day objectives in order to allow her to focus on what she does best: winning and growing our business. And help her with tactical and strategic initiatives over the longer term and across the business.
This is a genuine hybrid role. Part strategic operator, part comms and marketing, part strategic EA. You'll move fluidly between drafting a press release, chasing a board deck, coordinating the CEO's complex diary and supporting customer conversations - often all in the same day. No task is too big or too small: you're as comfortable making a tough call on a strategic priority as you are printing, chasing and filing documents that keeps the business and her office moving.
You'll need to be resourceful, high energy and self-starting - someone who spots what needs doing before being asked, catches the small things that would otherwise slip through and exercises sound judgement about what actually matters. You'll take real ownership of work, applying common sense to prioritise and displaying an eye for detail to execute, so the CEO never has to think twice about it. And draft and coordinate more strategic work whether internal, investor related or for outward consumption.
As EnterpriseAlumni grows, and as your understanding of the business grows, it is likely that this role evolves into an operationally focused role, leading a new team or project – or supporting a fast growing department where your skills and experience working under the CEO lend themselves to the opportunity.
Objectives of the Role
- Understand what the CEO wants and make sure the right things are happening across the business to get there.
- Act as a trusted confidant and sounding board, a true second brain across everything the CEO is involved in.
- Keep the CEO's time, attention, and paperwork under control, so nothing urgent slips and nothing unnecessary reaches her desk.
- Synchronise the C-suite team, facilitating smooth communication and working relationships between senior leaders so decisions move quickly and nothing gets lost between functions.
- Support events and communications that drive the company's external voice.
- Coordinate across departments to keep strategic initiatives, board reporting, and company priorities on track.
- Continuously look for smarter, more efficient ways of running things.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Do
CEO Support & Executive Administration (alongside her Executive Assistant)
- Own the CEO's standing to-do and chase list and keep pending approvals moving - chasing sign-off in person where it's faster than email.
- Manage diary, external meetings, travel, and the print/approve/action loop for internal and external documents needing her attention, including investor and legal documents.
- Work behind the scenes with the CEO's EA on complex diary management, keeping her schedule watertight.
- Handle on-demand internal research and retrieval, anything from a contract date to a customer detail, quickly and accurately.
- Travel with the CEO to key meetings and engagements, as her right hand on the road as well as in the office.
- Be the calm, capable presence who can pick up whatever's thrown at them and get it done.
Strategic Execution & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Drive agreed action items and top priorities to completion, working across the executive team and wider business.
- Assemble board decks and coordinate the cross-team input needed to get them right, plus manage board meeting logistics.
- Track company goals and progress, keeping the team updated.
- Support investor reporting and documentation as needed.
- Support customer interactions, working closely with the customer team and the management consulting team.
- Support the CEO on contracts, legal matters, and commercial deals — reviewing paperwork, chasing signatures, and flagging what needs attention.
Communications & Marketing
- Draft press releases, award and interview copy, and profile pieces for the CEO, taking them through approval and working where required with the marketing team.
- Understand the market in which EnterpriseAlumni operates and produce white papers, research and market insights in tandem with the marketing and data teams. Turn industry news and thinking into thought leadership content.
- Own the quarterly customer magazine and company newsletter end to end — commissioning, chasing, writing, and getting sign-off.
- Proactively create thought leadership and internal and customer documents that fill genuine gaps in the business - anticipating what's needed rather than waiting to be asked (in the spirit of building a sector-specific white paper from little more than a steer).
Events & Customer-Facing Materials
- Plan and support CEO-led events around the world.
- Oversee travel, logistics, and collateral for flagship company events, including fast-turnaround requests.
- Help produce customer-facing decks and materials (QBRs, one-pagers, annual reports) when needed.
- Ensure brand standards are enforced.
