About Flat Rock Technology
Flat Rock Technology is an established global technology services business with over 18 years' experience helping organisations solve complex technology challenges.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced, well-connected Business Development Manager with an established network of CTOs, CIOs, CEOs, and senior technology leaders across the UK.
Your network is key. We want someone who already has strong relationships with CTOs, CIOs, CEOs, Heads of Technology, and other senior decision-makers - and is comfortable picking up the phone, calling their contacts, and opening doors.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to wait for inbound leads. You'll be expected to use your network, create conversations, identify opportunities, and win new business.
You'll have the opportunity to build a new revenue stream while being backed by an established international technology business with the technical expertise and delivery capability already in place.
About the Role
As Strategic Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for generating and growing consulting revenue across the UK.
Working alongside our leadership team, you'll introduce clients to senior consultants and advisory specialists across areas including:
- Data & AI
- Databricks
- Snowflake
- Cloud Transformation
- DevOps
- Platform Engineering
- Enterprise Architecture
- Software Engineering
- ERP & CRM Transformation
- Cyber Security
- Technology Leadership
- Fractional CIO / CTO / Chief Architect services
Your focus will be on understanding client challenges and introducing the right expertise quickly, helping organisations accelerate business-critical initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
