Strategic Creative Designer – Bristol, Surrey or Glasgow – Hybrid – Permanent 37.5 hours per week – £50,000 - £55,000

Our client is looking for a Strategic Principal Creative to join their in-house creative and digital agency, working across high-profile national and global accounts. This is a senior leadership role where you'll shape creative direction, drive business growth, and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of over 80 professionals. If you're a strategic creative who can lead from the front and deliver real impact, this one's for you.
Working Patterns and location – Hybrid – 3 days on site per week
The Key Responsibilities of a Strategic Principal Creative
- Lead creative direction across high-profile national and global client accounts.
- Develop compelling campaign concepts, narratives, and creative strategies for clients.
- Confidently pitch ideas and present creative solutions to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop creative talent at all levels across the team.
- Identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development pipeline.
- Collaborate with other Principals to define strategy and drive innovation.
- Track and evaluate marketing strategy performance, adjusting approaches where needed.
- Challenge creative thinking and processes to improve quality, efficiency, and delivery.

Key Skills required for a Strategic Principal Creative
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative range across varied multi-disciplinary projects.
- Proven ability to develop campaign concepts and translate complex ideas into impactful creative.
- Experience leading and inspiring multidisciplinary creative teams at a senior level.
- Proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong layout and typography skills with a sharp eye for design quality.
- Commercially aware with experience scoping and quoting multi-discipline creative projects.
- Confident presenting and pitching to clients and senior stakeholders.
- Up to date with market trends and AI tools relevant to creative and digital delivery.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
- Experience working within an in-house agency environment for a large organisation.
- Background collaborating with UX/UI, animation, or web development disciplines.
- Experience contributing to business development and winning new creative work.
- Familiarity with the engineering, infrastructure, or technical sectors.
