The Strategic Delivery Manager
The Strategic Delivery Manager supports the GCOO and IWPB leadership teams in delivering strategic priorities aligned with HSBC’s Group Strategy. The role provides strategic analysis, project management, performance reporting and governance support across key initiatives.
It also involves coordinating stakeholders, monitoring delivery and helping resolve issues that may affect business performance, while ensuring strong risk management and control standards.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic reviews, planning activities and ad hoc projects aligned with leadership priorities.
- Analyse business performance, strategic priorities and management information.
- Prepare and maintain performance reporting, scorecards and Annual Operating Plans.
- Provide project management support for strategic transformation initiatives.
- Track delivery, milestones, dependencies, risks and actions across key projects.
- Support governance forums and committees, representing the relevant business area.
- Develop, maintain and monitor governance processes and reporting.
- Investigate reporting variances and resolve issues affecting business performance.
- Monitor external service providers and ensure agreed service levels are met.
- Foster collaboration across GCOO and IWPB teams and build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Prioritise and coordinate the workload of transformation support resources where required.
- Promote a customer-focused approach and support timely delivery of strategic outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with HSBC policies, operational risk controls and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal control standards and support the timely closure of audit and regulatory actions.

Minimum Requirements

- Experience in strategic planning, business management, transformation or project delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret business performance data.
- Experience preparing management information, scorecards and operating plans.
- Governance report creation experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including: VLOOKUPs and other lookup function, pivot tables, advanced formulas and formatting, basic charts and graphs
- Ability to investigate, clarify and resolve reporting discrepancies.
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage competing priorities.
