Shape the Future of Digital Healthcare in Scotland
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an exceptional and experienced leader to join our Digital Services Directorate as a Strategic Development & Programmes Manager.
As Scotland's largest NHS Board, NHSGGC serves a population of over 1.3 million people and employs more than 42,000 staff across acute, community, and specialist services. About The Role
This senior leadership position sits within the Strategy, Programmes & Innovation team and provides strategic leadership across the National, Contractor, and Specialist Applications Portfolio.
You will be responsible for leading a significant portfolio of digital programmes and services that support clinical and operational priorities across NHSGGC while contributing to wider regional and national digital health objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Leading the development and delivery of complex digital transformation programmes.
- Providing strategic oversight of national systems, contractor services, and specialist applications.
- Ensuring robust programme governance, risk management, and benefits realisation.
- Managing financial resources, workforce planning, and programme performance.
- Leading engagement with senior clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders.
- Managing relationships with suppliers, contractors, and national partners.
- Providing leadership and support to Programme Managers, Business Analysts, and specialist programme teams.

About You
You will be an experienced programme and transformation leader with a proven ability to deliver change within large, complex organisations.
You Will Bring
- Significant experience of leading large-scale transformation programmes.
- A strong track record of delivering strategic objectives and organisational change.
- Experience of programme governance, business case development, and benefits realisation.
- Strong financial, workforce, and resource management skills.
- Experience of supplier, procurement, and contract management.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to lead and motivate high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
