We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and influential Strategic Education Advisor to join our Multi-Agency Protection Team (MACPT). You’ll be playing a pivotal role in shaping outcomes for children and young people across Slough.
This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the safeguarding system, bringing educational expertise into multi-agency decision-making and strengthening partnerships between education, children’s social care, and wider safeguarding services.
As a Strategic Education Advisor, you’ll provide strategic leadership and specialist educational expertise within Slough’s Multi-Agency Child Protection Team. You’ll act as the key link between children’s social care, education providers, and safeguarding partners, ensuring that education perspectives are fully considered in safeguarding, Family Help, and statutory decision-making processes.
You’ll also identify emerging themes, barriers, and risks affecting children and young people, ensuring that educational intelligence contributed effectively to service development and system improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
