Are you an experienced employer engagement, recruitment, or business development professional who thrives on building meaningful partnerships?
At Futures, we're looking for a Strategic Employer Development Lead to develop employer relationships that create real opportunities for people facing barriers to employment. You'll work with employers across a range of sectors, helping to shape recruitment pathways, influence workforce planning, and drive social impact through sustainable employment opportunities.

What you'll be doing
- π€ Building and managing strategic employer partnerships
- π Developing an employer engagement strategy aligned to contract and organisational goals
- πΌ Creating pathways into employment, work placements, apprenticeships, and work trials
- π Championing inclusive recruitment and helping employers remove barriers to employment
- π Using labour market intelligence to identify opportunities and inform programme design
- π€ Representing Futures across business, employer, and stakeholder networks
Requirements
- β Experience in employer engagement, recruitment, employability, or business development
- β Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- β Commercial awareness, negotiation, and influencing skills
- β Knowledge of employability, skills, or welfare-to-work programmes
- β A genuine passion for social mobility and improving employment outcomes for disadvantaged communities
