About the team and the role

The Live & Emerging Verticals Platform Governance team enables subsidiary platforms to operate and scale with trust by strengthening compliance capabilities while supporting business growth. The team partners across Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy Operations, and Governance to translate approved PRPS and IP standards into practical controls, workflows, and operating requirements tailored to subsidiary platforms.

The Live and Emerging Strategic Execution Manager leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that operationalize risk-based compliance frameworks for subsidiary platforms. Reporting within Live & Emerging Verticals Platform Governance, this role assesses current-state capabilities, identifies opportunities to replicate or adapt proven eBay standards, and drives execution to build scalable compliance capabilities, improve risk visibility, and establish durable operating mechanisms.

What you will accomplish

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that translate PRPS and IP standards into operational controls, workflows, and compliance frameworks for subsidiary platforms.
  • Design and implement risk-based compliance frameworks by identifying control gaps and defining subsidiary-specific requirements, oversight mechanisms, and operating models.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Policy Operations, and Governance teams to align priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver strategic compliance initiatives.
  • Assess policy, tooling, workflow, and control capabilities across subsidiary platforms, recommending where established eBay standards can be adopted or adapted to meet local needs.
  • Convert insights from gap assessments, launches, incidents, quality reviews, and operational feedback into stronger controls and more effective compliance processes.
  • Coordinate complex workstreams from strategy through execution, driving alignment, resolving dependencies, and maintaining momentum across multiple teams.
  • Contribute to the evolution of scalable compliance capabilities by improving risk visibility, strengthening governance, and supporting long-term operational maturity.

What you will bring

  • 10+ years of experience in trust, safety, compliance, risk, governance, marketplace policy, or a related field.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through implementation in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to translate policy or risk requirements into practical operational, technical, and business requirements.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Policy teams to implement controls, workflows, or operating models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess control gaps, prioritize risks, and develop practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build alignment across senior partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with marketplaces, social commerce, resale platforms, subsidiary integration, control-gap assessments, detection systems, or operational workflow development is preferred.
