We’re looking for an experienced Strategic Finance Business Partner to join our Finance & IT team and play a key role in shaping financial decision-making across the Combined Authority.
As a Strategic Finance Business Partner, you’ll work directly with Directors and Executive Directors, providing high-quality financial advice, insight, and constructive challenge to help deliver our Directorate Business Plans.
You’ll be much more than a finance specialist. You’ll build strong relationships with senior leaders, understand the wider business, identify financial risks and opportunities, and turn complex financial information into clear advice that supports better decisions. 📊

You’ll be a CCAB-qualified accountant with significant experience in financial planning, control, and reporting.

- Extensive experience working in a complex and political environment.
- Strong experience presenting complex financial information to senior and non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience supporting significant service contracts, including contracts over ÂŁ10m per annum.
Experience of Unit4 ERP, Local Government, the wider public sector, or capital projects would be an advantage.
