Pearse Portfolio is delighted to be partnering with a private equity backed energy infrastructure business looking to appoint a Strategic Finance Manager to support the next phase of their growth in a newly created role.
The business operates within a specialist growing area of the UK energy transition market and has an established asset base alongside significant investment and expansion plans.
This is a broad and commercially focused strategic finance role, sitting across FP&A, financial modelling, debt, treasury and strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management, investors, lenders and other key stakeholders, while also managing a small team across commercial finance, modelling and debt.

Duties include:
- Leading the group budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning process
- Developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Overseeing debt analysis, covenant monitoring and lender reporting
- Supporting refinancing and wider capital structure initiatives
- Preparing Board, investor and lender reporting
- Providing commercial insight into performance, risks, investment decisions and capital allocation
- Supporting strategic projects including acquisitions, disposals and major investment decisions
- Managing and developing a small team
- Improving financial reporting, MI, controls and model governance
We are looking for:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong experience across strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, project finance or infrastructure finance
- Excellent financial modelling capability
- Experience with debt, covenant analysis, lender reporting and/or refinancing
- Ideally, experience within private equity, energy, infrastructure, utilities or another asset-intensive environment
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders
- Previous people management experience
