Use your fundraising experience to help a growing charity create lasting opportunities for vulnerable young people in Senegal. Your skills and networks could play a vital role in strengthening Aspyre Africa's sustainability and long-term impact.
What difference will you make?
This is not a traditional fundraising volunteer role. It is an opportunity to work directly alongside the Chair and Trustee Board to help build the fundraising foundations of a growing charity.
You will work closely with the Chair, who currently leads fundraising on a voluntary basis while also serving as an unpaid Director. Rather than joining an established fundraising department, you will become a trusted adviser, helping shape our fundraising strategy, strengthen our systems and identify the opportunities that will enable Aspyre Africa to grow sustainably.
We are looking for someone who enjoys thinking strategically as much as getting things done. Whether you are recently retired, working part-time or simply looking for a meaningful way to use your experience, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine contribution to the future direction of the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
