Shape the Future of a New Design Venture | London
A unique opportunity has emerged for an ambitious and commercially minded Work-Winning Director to play a pivotal role in the launch and growth of a new venture within a highly respected architectural practice.
This is an opportunity for someone who combines design credibility with commercial instinct. A leader who can build relationships, inspire clients, shape compelling propositions, and help secure major commissions across the built environment.
The successful candidate will be a confident ambassador for design, equally comfortable leading a client presentation, developing a market strategy, or representing the business at the highest levels of the industry.
The Opportunity
Backed by the reputation, resources, and delivery capabilities of an established practice, you will help drive growth and shape the direction of a new business offering.
You will:
- Develop and execute a strategic work-winning and growth plan.
- Build and strengthen relationships with clients, developers, investors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Lead major pitches, presentations, and competitive bids.
- Identify emerging opportunities and new market sectors.
- Help define the vision and positioning of the venture.
- Work closely with senior leadership to establish long-term growth strategies.
- Represent the practice across industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Create a pipeline of opportunities that translates into secured work.

About You
We are seeking an individual with a proven track record of generating new business and winning significant projects within architecture or the wider design industry.
You will demonstrate:
- A strong reputation and network across the built environment sector.
- A proven history of winning work and developing lasting client relationships.
- Excellent presentation, pitching, and communication skills.
- Strategic commercial awareness combined with genuine enthusiasm for architecture and design.
- Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers and project stakeholders.
- Strong leadership qualities and the ability to inspire trust internally and externally.
- The ability to articulate a compelling vision and bring others with you.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to help build something new.

Salary: £90,000-£120,000+ plus bonus and package, dependent on experience.
