- North West London £400 to £440 per day (Umbrella) | 3-Month Ongoing Contract | Hybrid Working | Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Strategic HR Business Partner to join a forward-thinking local authority in North West London on a 3-month ongoing contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior HR professional with extensive employee relations and strategic HR experience within a complex organisation, ideally local government or education-focused environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle
- Lead on complex employee relations casework, hearings, appeals, and change management processes
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legislative changes
- Support strategic workforce planning and organisational development initiatives
- Build strong relationships with senior leaders, trade unions, and stakeholders
- Prepare reports for Directorate Management Teams (DMT) and attend strategic meetings
- Support TUPE processes and organisational restructuring projects
- Ensure HR policies, guidance, and toolkits are regularly updated and communicated effectively
- Participate in Job Evaluation processes and support operational HR functions where required
- Contribute to programmes that improve leadership capability and people management performance

- Significant experience working as a Strategic HR Business Partner or Senior HR professional within a large organisation
- Strong employee relations experience, including complex casework and change management
- Experience managing TUPE processes and strategic HR projects
- Excellent understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice
- Proven experience developing and implementing HR policies
- Experience working within local government or education environments is highly desirable
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
