Job Description Summary
The Strategic Imaging Account Manager (SAM) is a key position within the Imaging Sales Team responsible for managing the long-term success of GE’s relationship in the North West of England Region to address the changing market requirements and challenges facing the NHS and its delivery of healthcare services. This role is very dynamic and will be suited to a Senior Salesperson who is passionate about driving and winning business and creating meaningful relationships with customers and partners.
As an Imaging Strategic Account Manager, you will build key relationships with a range of clients and customers within the NHS Trusts and Private clinics, but also involved in selling complex technical products and/or services/solutions. The successful candidate is expected to cover a select territory within the North West of England Region alongside a team of Imaging Account Managers.
Our Imaging Account Managers are responsible for proactively leading the sales process in driving, developing and implementing strategy and tactics for the business development and growth of GE’s medical imaging solutions to include CT, MI, MR, Surgery, MI, Interventional, Xray & Women’s Health.
This is a key role in ensuring the alignment across the business and working within a matrix organization within your territory, and building customer relationships for the long term, whilst generating sales & revenue.

Responsibilities
- Act as the key interface between the business and the assigned customer accounts (owns the customer relationship)
- Understand customer needs (key initiatives and priorities), competitor offerings, micro and macro environmental changes to position GE solutions to maximum effect.
- Works through all opportunities for their accounts, leveraging for new business, IB Management including upgrades.
- Management of short to medium term goals to deliver annual orders and sales targets.
- Responsible for the management of the CRM tools, maintaining all opportunities and relevant account and customer information to support accurate forecasting and business performance.
- Ownership and accountability for territory administration, including complete sales process, lead generation to revenue recognition and tender management.
- Responsible for Funnel Management over a long-term horizon
- Build long-term strategic alliances with GE accounts to protect against competitive threats and continue to add value across the product range and maintain / grow target accounts with effective switch strategy for competitor Install Base.
- Has a strong focus on Commercial Excellence.
- Look to continuously improve the Customer experience. Working with the wider business to identify opportunities and deliver improvements with a customer centric mindset.
- Work across the matrixed organization giving customers one point of contact, whilst maximizing GE opportunities.
- Working with sales leaders and sales teams to increase prospects and drive closure of opportunities.
- Forecasting orders and sales of assigned territory and submit bi-weekly report.
- Representing the company at trade association meetings to promote product and company value
- Act as a key supporter to the Regional Sales Manager in taking the UKI business forward to drive customer satisfaction and orders, revenue and growth.

Qualifications
- You bring a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or equivalent knowledge or experience and know-how in selling medical imaging technology capital goods in the national healthcare environment.
- Industrious and operating at high levels of commercial intensity
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English
- Excellent organizational skills and strong presentation skills - able to present ideas to senior customers in a way that produces understanding, impact and value.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills both internally and externally
- Significant Sales Account Management experience
- Highly motivated team player
- Excellent advocate for planning, organisation and time management.
- Ability to problem solve and rectify situations as they arise in order to meet customer expectations and define innovative proposals
- Ability to deliver high quality results when working under pressure
- Flexible – able to travel and work between locations in the UK, depending on customer need.
- Excellent customer facing skills – experience in dealing at all levels of a customer’s organisation including senior management.
- High degree of commercial creativity and business rigour with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Able to develop and execute account level strategies with a 'OneGE' mindset.
- Knowledge of sales and service operating procedures
- Strong analytical and process skills
- Product and competitor knowledge
- Strong in MS Office Suite, SFDC and CRM tools.
- Excellent communication skills & confidence collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Valid motor vehicle license

Desired Skills
- Must reside in the North West of England
- Commercial experience of large capital equipment sales
- Proven track record of Sales Experience in the Imaging Diagnostics Environment
- UK medical imaging market understanding
- Experience in the Healthcare industry including knowledge of the NHS organisation.
