The Klondyke Group trading as William Strike Ltd are a group of 24 Garden Centre’s and Restaurants across Scotland, England and North Wales with our Head Office in Grangemouth.
Klondyke is a family business, and our employees are our extended family. We are focused on developing all aspects of the business including our newly developed flagship site at Polmont.
Due to Company growth, we have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Strategic IT Manager to join our team based in our Head Office in Grangemouth.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Strategic IT Manager to lead the development and delivery of our organisation’s IT strategy. Working within a retail business of approximately 1,200 employees, this role will ensure technology services and investments are aligned to business priorities, support operational efficiency and enable sustainable growth.
Based at our Head Office in Grangemouth, this role requires occasional travel to sites across the business, which may include overnight stays
What you will be doing as Strategic IT Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continually refine the organisation’s IT strategy and roadmap.
- Ensure alignment between IT priorities and wider business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with senior leaders to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvement.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives and promote a culture of innovation.
- Oversee IT governance frameworks, ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- Manage IT risks including cybersecurity, data protection, and business continuity.
- Monitor performance of IT services and introduce improvements where required.
- Contribute to IT budgeting and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and technology partners.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and assess their value to the business.

What makes you our perfect Strategic IT Manager for Klondyke?
Essential Criteria
- Experience in IT strategy, transformation, or senior IT leadership
- Strong understanding of aligning IT strategy with business objectives
- Experience managing budgets and resources
- Experience delivering complex IT or digital projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of GDPR or ISO 27001
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g. ITIL, COBIT)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience of Cyber Essentials

Desirable Criteria
- Experience in a large or multi-site organisation
- Relevant certifications (ITIL, Prince2, TOGAF, PMP)
- Experience in digital transformation programmes
- Degree in IT, Business, or related discipline
