About the position
How does it sound to work for a global innovation leader that has a track record of transforming building and construction practices to higher performing, more sustainable materials? To be able to have direct impact on building an industry leading growth platform?
In this role, as Strategic Key Account Manager you will be responsible for leading and expanding the use of our insulation products Foamglas in the UK + Middle East. You will be partly responsible for the strategy and execution of one of the fastest growing programs in the company via strategic partners.
What does a typical day for this high impact role look like? Rarely are two days the same. One day you are partnering with the cross-functional team to build strategic partnership opportunities with key customers. The next day, you are teaming up with internal stakeholders in the UK and abroad to create the right value proposition for our datacenter focus area. As part of you focus on key accounts you will be mapping customer stakeholders for a team-to-team alignment, developing customer sponsors and supporters.
What does success look like?
- Understand customer strategic objectives, markets & business to describe the value we create
- Design and execute ambitious & comprehensive Key Accounts plans to organize action and engage key stakeholders
- Connect & influence stakeholders at all levels within the customers’ organization to build the “Diamond model”
- Strengthen the value proposition of the portfolio to ensure a differential competitive advantage
- Provide solutions where our company’s capabilities overlap with the needs of our customers to implement joint growth strategies

Skills and capabilities necessary to succeed
- A growth mindsight. You are hardwired to think beyond constraints and develop solutions
- Horizontal leadership skills. You build relationships of trust and bring clarity and leadership to ambiguous circumstances
- An analytical mindset. You utilize competition insights and appropriate market intelligence information to stay current on emerging market trends acting in a “Trusted Advisor” role
- Negotiation skills, perseverance and drive for results to impact our UK business results
- Conducts self with the highest ethical and moral standards
Business requirements
- Bachelor’s and / or Master’s degree
- 10+ years of Sales / Commercial experience in an international B2B environment focus on strategic key accounts
- Experience in the European building material and / or construction industry is preferred
- Proven ability to shape business strategy and leading strategic planning
- Location: position is home office based in the greater London area with the ability to travel overnight up to 25% of time.
