We’re looking for a logical, inquisitive and ambitious strategic marketing consultant to join our growing integrated agency.

About the role…

  • Work with the strategy and wider Agent team to deliver Agent’s key objective of making powerfully good work.
  • Research – You’ll need to immerse yourself in different worlds to learn about the various landscapes that our clients operate in, understanding what their competitors are up to, what resonates with their audiences and collating key facts, figures, data and insight needed to create the perfect strategic approach.
  • Insight and engagement – You thrive on delving deeper into insight. You only ever want your work to have real impact. You’ll be tasked with running engagement sessions for our clients including focus groups, workshops and one-to-one interviews; accurately representing their business needs and gaining the evidence we need to create a strategic approach which will make our clients succeed.
  • Innovation - As a part of this role, you’ll be expected to drive forward new ways of running and delivering our strategies. This will include looking at how we co-create work with our clients and our wider team, how we present our work to maximise impact and how we share insights in new and exciting ways.
  • Planning – You love nothing more than translating a client challenge into a real-life marketing driven solution. You’ll be responsible for producing integrated campaign plans utilising the services offered by the wider agent team; this will be end-to-end from writing the plan and understanding how we’ll evaluate our work.
  • Client relationships and journey – You’ll be able to adapt your style to work with a range of audiences; from the public on the street to leaders in the boardroom, you’ll be able to build a rapport, generate the insight we need and showcase all that Agent has to offer. You understand what the evidence we gather means and how to translate this into valuable, actionable insight. You’ll be able to bring our clients on a journey to understand the insight, and you’ll be able to do this in a down to earth and engaging way. Jargon is not your thing and putting your ideas across clearly in an easy to digest way will build strong relationships and trust with our clients.
  • Representing Agent – You’ll be tasked with attending networking events to strengthen the Agent brand and make new connections for the agency.
  • Business acumen – You’re committed to staying up to speed and being connected with the latest developments when it comes to the regional and national business landscapes. You know that staying informed and always developing your network allows you to continue to deliver the quality of ideas that succeeds for our clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We know that the Ai world is exciting – we absolutely get it. However, what isn’t as thrilling is an Ai generated CV and cover letter. They are, quite frankly, dull. We get them all the time, and they never ever stand out. What does stand out is imagination, creativity, human thought – please do use these tools if do choose to apply for this important role. We’re looking for talented people – not robots.
