Business Unit & Team: Alts – Client Group

Reporting to: Global Head of Strategic Marketing

Location: 22 Bishopsgate, London

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) is the asset manager of BNP Paribas, a leading banking group in Europe with international reach. Job Purpose

Deliver compelling, differentiating content aligned with business priorities and corporate narratives help maintain BNP Paribas AM Alts’ position as a market leader.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategic Planning

  • Take the initiative to deliver strategic marketing activities which support capital-raising initiatives and align with sales priorities.
  • Develop market-leading product marketing content, particularly for new products which need a strong narrative and clear explanation.
  • Create strong, differentiating and data-driven key messages to differentiate BNP Paribas AM Alts products and identify their strengths.
  • Support the update, improvement and regular delivery of corporate materials – particularly corporate decks which form the backbone of product presentations.
  • Proactively identify and act on opportunities for narratives that will favourably position BNP Paribas AM Alts’ individual and collective capabilities.
  • Conduct regular peer analysis to ensure BNP Paribas AM Alts’ narratives and presentations will achieve cut-through.
  • Collaborate with peers across the business to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals and collaborate with the wider Marketing team.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance corporate materials across the website, presentations and collectively used data to ensure high standards of consistency.
  • Undertake broader strategic initiatives by collaborating with peers in the wider business as required.
  • Respond to and manage internal strategic marketing requests, providing informed advice and support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and brand guidelines across all marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of initiatives through data and by collecting anecdotal feedback.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent
  • Significant experience in the asset management industry, preferably Alternatives (5+ years).
  • Strong experience in marketing content creation (corporate & product) in the asset management industry, preferably in Alternatives.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good understanding of the Alternatives asset management industry.
  • Strong skills in creating or driving the creation of compelling and well-articulated content.
  • Ability to combine a very hands-on approach and strategic vision.
  • Comfort with understanding and challenging complex datasets.
  • Conversant in French and English preferred.

Competencies

  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to develop and nurture strong working relationship with multiple stakeholders, including senior managers.
  • Ability to coordinate various stakeholders and contributors to deliver objectives.
  • Capacity to influence and negotiate.
  • Strong oral and writing, proofreading and editing skills in English.
  • Understanding of financial services (asset management and capital markets).
  • Open to constructive feedback.
