An opportunity has arisen to join a forward-thinking local authority who are delivering an ambitious programme of transformation, regeneration, environmental improvement, and infrastructure improvement works. With significant investment planned, this is an exciting opportunity to support a senior leadership team and technical team responsible for critical project and programme delivery. This role will allow you to gain exposure to strategic decision-making, political engagement, major investment programmes and organisational change, and will work for an ambitious individual looking to accelerate a career across property, estates, regeneration, development or major environmental schemes.
Your new role
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who would be able to act as a strategic support to a service leader - this role will involve driving forward priorities and agenda, coordinating complex projects, and providing strategic support across a variety of services. You will work across multiple disciplines, engaging with key stakeholders, undertaking research and analysis, feeding back on project progress, and ensuring that initiatives progress positively and to specification.

What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication ability, able to communicate at a senior level.
- Prior experience in supporting projects, programmes, or other strategic initiatives.
- Experience and an interest in areas such as property, asset management, regeneration, infrastructure projects and similar.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities.
What you'll get in return
This is an opportunity to work closely with a senior director who has responsibility for a major service portfolio. You will be able to take advantage of exposure to several high profile projects and programmes. This role will offer a daily rate of pay (TBC), which will be paid to you on a weekly basis across the duration of your contract, alongside a long-term contract opportunity (9-12 months initially, however likely to extend).
