The Power of Now

Be part of something big. Fortescue is leading the world with our plan to decarbonise our iron ore operations, projects that harness renewable energy and the development of technology that will change our planet forever.

An opportunity has arisen for a Strategic Partnership Manager to join the Motorsport & Advanced Engineering department.

About the role

This role supports the successful conversion of strategic opportunities into contracted business across the motorsport, advanced engineering, and defence sectors, with a focus on elite performance electrification technology, energy storage systems, and zero-emission power system components.

Working closely with senior commercial leaders who own key customer relationships and opportunity origination, this role is responsible for identifying leads and driving opportunity execution, including bid development, commercial structuring, pricing, internal stakeholder coordination, and contract negotiation. In addition, the role will also be required to own and maintain ongoing customer relationships and generate additional revenue opportunities from existing accounts in addition to new business.

What will you do

Opportunity Execution & Bid Management

  • Lead the end-to-end development of customer proposals, from initial brief through to submission
  • Coordinate inputs from engineering, product, finance, legal, and commercial teams
  • Ensure proposals are technically credible, commercially competitive, and aligned with customer requirements
  • Manage bid timelines, governance, and internal approval processes

Commercial Structuring & Pricing

  • Develop pricing models, cost build-ups, and commercial structures in collaboration with finance and technical teams
  • Support definition of commercial strategies, including risk allocation and contract positioning
  • Ensure alignment with internal financial targets and risk frameworks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
