About London Politica

London Politica is a fast-growing geopolitical advisory firm providing strategic insights, convening, and executive engagement to businesses, governments, and organisations navigating geopolitical uncertainty. We operate across diplomacy, policymaking, and corporate strategy, working with senior decision-makers around the world.

We are seeking an exceptional Strategic Partnerships Lead to help build the relationships, partnerships, and commercial opportunities that support the growth of London Politica and our partner organisations, the Oxbridge Diplomatic Academy and the GeoTech Hub.

The Role

This is a highly external, entrepreneurial role for someone who is exceptional with people, commercially minded, and deeply interested in international affairs.

You will take ownership of identifying and developing new partnerships across business, government, diplomacy, defence, and international affairs. While we call this partnerships rather than sales, the role is fundamentally about creating opportunities: identifying organisations we should be working with, securing meetings, understanding their priorities, developing compelling propositions, and building relationships that can develop into meaningful long-term partnerships and revenue.

This might involve pitching a geopolitical advisory engagement, executive briefing, crisis simulation, private dinner, or keynote for London Politica; developing executive education and geopolitical leadership programmes for the Oxbridge Diplomatic Academy at Rhodes House, Oxford; or building relationships with defence and technology companies around London Politica’s GeoTech Hub alongside the Munich Security Conference.

You will also use major international summits as platforms for business development, arranging meetings, dinners, side events, and partnership opportunities, while supporting the delivery of client engagements and programmes. The role will work closely with the CEO, Chief of Staff, and Head of Multilateral Programs, with significant responsibility for independently developing relationships and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partnerships and Business Development: Own and build a proactive pipeline of prospective clients, sponsors, and institutional partners; identify relevant decision-makers; conduct outreach; secure meetings; and maintain thoughtful, persistent follow-up.
  • Commercial Judgement: Identify where relationships can translate into meaningful commercial or institutional opportunities, understand prospective partners’ priorities, and help shape propositions that respond to them.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with CEOs, ambassadors, senior government officials, investors, partners, and other institutional leaders, exercising diplomacy, judgement, and discretion.
  • Proposals and Commercial Materials: Develop persuasive proposals, presentations, decks, and tailored partnership materials, often at short notice, and rapidly iterate them for different clients and sectors.
  • Programmes and Convening: Help develop and deliver executive education programmes, geopolitical advisory engagements, dinners, roundtables, summits, and other high-level convening.
  • International Summits: Use major conferences and forums as platforms for relationship building and business development, arranging meetings, events, and partnership opportunities.
  • Client Engagement: Support the delivery of partnerships once secured, helping coordinate engagements, maintain strong relationships, and identify opportunities for further collaboration.
  • External Relations and Communications: Draft high-quality outreach, proposals, invitations, and external correspondence, and support LinkedIn, social media, and other external communications.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a clear and organised overview of relationships, conversations, commitments, and follow-ups to ensure opportunities continue moving forward.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
