People Partner (Temporary Contract)

Immediate Start Temporary Assignment | Hybrid Working Available

Location: Selly Oak & Erdington, Birmingham (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £44,000 per annum
Sector: Healthcare & Charity

We're seeking an experienced People Partner to join a busy People Team on a temporary basis, supporting managers and employees across the organisation with a broad range of HR and employee relations matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, managing complex ER cases, and driving positive people initiatives within a purpose-led environment.

The Role

Working closely with the People Team Manager, you will provide a comprehensive, solutions-focused HR service across the employee lifecycle. You'll partner with managers to deliver practical and balanced people solutions while ensuring best practice and employment legislation are consistently applied.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management and organisational change matters
  • Coaching and advising managers on people-related issues and employment legislation
  • Supporting change management and organisational development initiatives
  • Developing and reviewing HR policies, processes and procedures
  • Producing HR metrics, reports and insights for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting employee wellbeing, engagement and diversity initiatives
  • Delivering training, presentations and management coaching sessions
  • Conducting and analysing exit interviews to identify trends and retention opportunities
  • Supporting wider People projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

We're looking for an HR professional who can quickly build credibility and confidently manage complex people matters from day one.

You'll Have

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent HR experience
  • Strong generalist HR experience at HR Advisor, People Advisor or People Partner level
  • Extensive employee relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and change management cases
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills
  • Experience interpreting people data and producing meaningful reports
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a wider team
