Summary

We are looking for a Strategic Pricing Lead to shape pricing strategy across our global Production Software portfolio, covering multiple CAD/CAM and quality software brands sold through direct and reseller channels in more than 45 countries.

Reporting to the Divisional VP Finance, you will establish the analytics, governance and pricing frameworks that enable better commercial decisions. You will work closely with Product Management, regional commercial leaders, Sales, Channel Management and Commercial Operations to improve price realisation, strengthen discount governance and develop a clearer understanding of the value we retain across direct and indirect channels.

This is a senior individual contributor role where success depends on strong analytical expertise, commercial judgement and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a global organisation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define regional and brand discount targets and establish clear pricing governance, including floors, thresholds and escalation frameworks.
  • Build and own the pocket price waterfall, covering list price, discounts, channel margins, promotions, rebates and allowances.
  • Analyse price performance and identify opportunities to improve price realisation across brands, regions and channels.
  • Conduct price-volume-mix, win/loss, price sensitivity and transaction-level pricing analysis.
  • Develop pricing architecture and support the harmonisation of pricing across multiple brands and markets.
  • Model the pricing and revenue impact of major commercial decisions, including licensing models, renewals and alternative commercial structures.
  • Develop value-based pricing approaches based on measurable customer outcomes.
  • Lead annual price actions and measure actual price realisation against planned increases.
  • Partner with senior commercial stakeholders to embed consistent pricing practices and reduce unnecessary discounting and pricing complexity.
  • Work with Commercial Operations and CPQ teams to translate pricing strategy and requirements into scalable processes and systems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience with reseller/channel pricing, software licensing or commercial model changes, multi-brand pricing, Oracle CPQ or Salesforce would be advantageous.

What Success Looks Like

  • 90 days — the existing discount reporting extended into a full pocket price waterfall for the largest brands, including channel margin and rebates, and a candid first diagnostic of where realisation is leaking.
  • 6 months — governance framework and regional discount envelopes agreed with commercial leadership, and channel discount policy documented as one set of rules for the first time.
  • 12 months — monthly realisation reporting embedded in the divisional review, a measurable reduction in unexplained discount dispersion, and regional leaders who can explain the pricing logic without you in the room

What We Offer

  • A permanent, full-time position with global scope and significant exposure to senior commercial leadership.
  • Flexible working arrangements, depending on the country of employment.
  • The opportunity to shape pricing strategy across an international, multi-brand software portfolio.
  • A collaborative, international working environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits in line with local market practices and employment conditions.
  • Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Pay
