Role Overview
The Security Resilience Delivery Service (SRDS) is a large and complex programme comprising approximately 18 delivery teams progressing through concurrent procurement, mobilisation, and transition activities. To support the successful delivery of these commercially sensitive workstreams, an opportunity has been identified for a Deputy SRDS Commercial Interface Lead.
Working in partnership with the SRDS Commercial Interface Lead, the Deputy will provide additional leadership capacity, strengthen programme resilience, and support the effective management of multiple parallel workstreams. The role will play a key part in ensuring commercial activities remain coordinated, governance requirements are met, and delivery milestones are achieved across the portfolio.
The Deputy SRDS Commercial Interface Lead will act as a delegated representative for the Commercial Interface Lead where required, providing leadership continuity during periods of peak demand, annual leave, or absence, while helping to maintain programme momentum and stakeholder confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the SRDS Commercial Interface Lead in coordinating commercial activities across the SRDS portfolio.
- Provide oversight and assurance across multiple procurement, mobilisation, and transition workstreams to ensure alignment with programme objectives and delivery timelines.
- Manage and coordinate programme governance activities, ensuring decisions, actions, and approvals are progressed through appropriate forums.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including delivery teams, commercial colleagues, suppliers, and senior leadership.
- Support supplier engagement activities, helping to manage commercial interfaces, dependencies, obligations, and transition planning.
- Produce and maintain programme reporting, providing timely and accurate updates on progress, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Monitor and manage cross-functional dependencies across the delivery service, escalating concerns and recommending mitigations where appropriate.
- Provide delivery assurance and challenge to ensure risks are identified early and managed effectively.
- Act on behalf of the SRDS Commercial Interface Lead when required, representing the programme at governance forums, stakeholder meetings, and decision-making groups.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of programme controls, governance processes, and delivery management practices.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Significant experience delivering complex programmes or portfolios within a large-scale organisational environment.
- Strong project and programme management skills, including governance, planning, reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Experience working within commercially sensitive environments, supporting procurement, supplier management, and transition activities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and coordinate activities across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all organisational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and provide leadership continuity when required.
- Experience of operating within complex delivery and governance frameworks.
