Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Product Consultant with deep expertise in Airline Crew Planning Optimization & Crew Management to join our iFlight team.

In this customer-facing consulting role, you will serve as the critical bridge between airline customers and the IBS product organization. You will partner with airline operations leaders to understand business challenges and opportunities, lead discovery workshops, recommend industry best practices, validate business value, and guide customers toward product-aligned operational processes.

The ideal candidate brings substantial hands-on experience in crew planning, pairing, rostering, and optimization, and crew management, combined with the ability to engage senior airline stakeholders and influence strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to airline customers on crew planning, crew optimization, and crew management strategies.
  • Lead discovery sessions, workshops, product consultations, adoption assessments, and business process assessments.
  • Help customers align operational requirements with IBS product capabilities and industry best practices.
  • Conduct Proof of Value (PoV), benchmarking, and business value exercises with airline customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales teams to translate customer needs into product enhancements and roadmap recommendations.
  • Provide market, operational, and competitive insights to influence product vision and strategy.
  • Support pre-sales activities, solution positioning, and customer evaluations when required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with airline operations leaders and executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in airline crew management, crew planning, and optimization, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.
  • Deep practical expertise in Crew Pairing Optimization, Crew Rostering Optimization, Crew Training Management, Vacation Planning, Crew Planning, Manpower Planning, Crew Tracking, Disruption Recovery, Crew Logistics, and other crew management functions.
  • Strong understanding of industry-standard airline operational processes, crew management best practices, and emerging industry trends.
  • Experience engaging with senior airline stakeholders and guiding strategic business decisions and influencing business process changes effectively.
  • Understanding how modern technologies influence airline operations, crew management processes, and the broader industry landscape.
  • Ability to assess customer challenges and recommend operational and technology-driven solutions while considering technical feasibility and alignment with the product framework.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience conducting Proof of Value (PoV) exercises and benchmarking activities to demonstrate product value and business benefits.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% internationally.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience from the following environments are particularly encouraged to apply:

  • Airline Crew Planning or Crew Management roles within leading airlines or industry-leading vendor organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Product Consulting, or Product Management.
  • Knowledge of flight operations, scheduling, flight planning, aircraft tracking, monitoring, fuel optimization, and airport operations.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive airline operations solutions.
  • Experience supporting software implementations, transformation initiatives, or crew management programs within airlines.
