Director – Strategic Programme Management

📍 London | Hybrid 💼 Director Level | Permanent

I’m currently recruiting for a Director of Strategic Programme Management to join a leading global change and transformation consultancy in London. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Programme Management / Transformation professional who can lead complex client engagements, advise senior stakeholders, and help shape new business opportunities.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading complex transformation programmes and engagements from strategy through to delivery.
  • Providing programme, portfolio, and PMO leadership across major client engagements.
  • Acting as a trusted programme leader, stepping into critical delivery roles where required.
  • Developing strong relationships with C-suite and senior client stakeholders.
  • Designing practical solutions to complex programme and portfolio challenges.
  • Leading and developing consulting teams.
  • Identifying and shaping new business opportunities and supporting proposals and pursuits.
  • Building the organisation’s external profile and thought leadership in Programme & Portfolio Management.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 10+ years’ experience in management consulting, advisory, or professional services.
  • Strong expertise in Programme Management / Portfolio Management.
  • Experience within a Big 4 or equivalent consulting environment is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record delivering large, complex consulting engagements.
  • Experience managing teams and owning delivery end-to-end.
  • Strong relationships with senior / executive-level clients.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to simplify complex problems and develop practical, sustainable solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or professional qualifications desirable.
  • Professional accreditation or recognised expertise within the field is advantageous.
