Strategic Project Lead

Huzzle Labs · Full-time · Palo Alto, London, Berlin, Remote

About Huzzle Labs

Huzzle Labs is an applied research lab building reinforcement learning environments for frontier AI labs. Our work covers computer use, enterprise workflows and code: the long, multi-application tasks that make up most professional work and that current models handle poorly.

We own an expert network of over 300,000 vetted professionals through the Huzzle platform. We also train our own computer-use models on the environments we build. They rank first in their size class on public leaderboards.

The role

You will own the delivery of projects with frontier AI labs from start to finish.

That means a specific and unusually broad set of responsibilities. You are the single point of contact between the lab and our expert pool. You recruit and enable the experts, run the quality process, report on progress, and hold the relationship. When a lab changes its requirements mid-project, which happens often, you decide what that means operationally and communicate it in both directions.

These engagements run on short timelines with visible outcomes.

What you will do

  • Recruit, onboard and enable domain experts, and build the training materials that get them to a consistent standard quickly
  • Run the quality process: appoint reviewers, oversee review throughput, identify recurring errors, and feed corrections back to the pool
  • Report on progress at the cadence the client requires, which is often daily, with accurate numbers rather than approximations
  • Act as the day-to-day point of contact for the lab, holding the relationship and managing expectations in both directions
  • Identify underperformance early, retrain where that will work, and replace where it will not
  • Translate ambiguous or shifting client requirements into instructions an expert can act on
  • Manage platform access, permissions and offboarding, including the security obligations attached to them

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You could be a great fit if this sounds like you:

  • Former founder. You have built something.
  • Founder's associate or chief of staff. You have operated across every function of a company and are used to owning problems that do not belong to any single team.
  • Ops background. You have built and run processes that involve many people.
  • Strategic project leads or program staff at a human data company or an AI lab.

What we look for

  • Entrepreneurial judgement. Most of what this role requires is not written down anywhere. You will regularly face situations where the correct action is unclear and waiting is not an option. We are looking for people who decide, act, and correct quickly.
  • Communication. This is the one requirement we will not compromise on. You will write to a frontier lab several times a day, brief a pool of experts who have never done this work before, and escalate problems in a way that makes them easy for someone else to act on. Clear writing under time pressure is the core skill of the job.
  • Ownership. The project is yours. Nobody will check whether the roster is current or whether a reviewer is falling behind.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. Requirements change mid-project. The client will occasionally contradict their own written specification. That is normal and the role is largely about absorbing it without passing the confusion downstream.
  • Attention to detail under pressure. Access permissions, hour caps, security requirements and reporting deadlines all carry real consequences. Most of the ways this role goes wrong are small and avoidable.
