Job Title

This job is only available to University of Leeds staff. It may be released externally should we not appoint internally.

This role will be based in the Worsley Building on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you enthusiastic, highly organised and versatile, with strong communication skills and a problem-solving approach? Do you want to be part of a dynamic projects team that collaborates with colleagues across the Faculty of Medicine and Health to deliver impactful change?

About the Role

As Strategic Projects Assistant in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, you will work as an integral part of the Strategic Projects Team, supporting the team to plan, deliver and embed strategic change projects, communications and engagement across the faculty. You will be exposed to rich and varied projects across research and education, operations and facilities, and people and culture; all underpinned by a strong emphasis on embedding equity, diversity and inclusion and the university values of collaboration, compassion, inclusivity and integrity in everything we do. The role will provide good learning and development opportunities in a high performing and supportive team, and the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and experience in change and project management.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
