At Jacobs

At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

Joining Jacobs is about more than building your career. It's about being part of a team where your ideas, expertise and unique perspective are valued. We invest in our people, support professional growth, and foster an inclusive culture where individuals can thrive and do their best work.

At Jacobs, we're solving some of the world's most complex challenges. From critical infrastructure and water to transportation, energy, and the built environment, our teams are delivering solutions that make a positive impact on communities across Europe and beyond.

Based on our ever growing work we're now looking for a Strategic Pursuit Manager to join and play a pivotal role in driving our growth agenda. This is more than a bid leadership position.

Your ability to bring people together, shape winning strategies, and unlock opportunities could define the future of our business.

It's an opportunity to influence strategy, work alongside senior leaders, and help secure some of the largest and most significant opportunities across our UK and European business.

As a Strategic Pursuit Manager, you'll bring the leadership, commercial insight and collaborative mindset needed to transform opportunities into successful outcomes. You'll guide multidisciplinary teams through complex pursuits, helping them align around a shared vision while creating compelling solutions that address our clients' biggest challenges.

Your ability to think strategically, challenge convention, and inspire high-performing teams ( up to 100 ) will directly contribute to Jacobs' continued success. Working at the heart of our Growth & Sales team, you'll shape winning approaches, influence key business decisions, and help position Jacobs as the partner of choice for our clients.

In this role, the value you'll bring comes from your experience leading complex bids, proposals, and pursuits within infrastructure or similar industries, helping shape winning strategies and drive successful outcomes.

Your strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and ability to perform under pressure will be key in navigating a fast-paced environment. You'll also bring a curious, creative, and solutions-focused approach, enabling you to overcome challenges, identify opportunities, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams to deliver the best possible results.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
