Salary: £55,443 to £61,116 per annum (pro rata for part-time, pay award pending)

About the Role
If you are an experienced, values-led leader with the vision and drive to deliver improvement, you could be the person we are looking for as Service Manager for Carers. You will lead the development and delivery of high-quality support for carers, working with partners, communities and colleagues to make a meaningful difference for people who provide unpaid care. You will ensure outcomes are achieved, impact is measured, and strategic oversight is effectively connected with operational delivery.
In this strategic role, you will lead the Carers Team and oversee the delivery of carers assessments, reviews, service development and performance improvement. You will play a key role in implementing and ensuring sustainable delivery of the Multi-Agency Carers Strategy for Leicestershire, ensuring that carers are heard, listened to and actively involved in influencing the services that affect them.
You will provide clear leadership across the service area, translating strategy into delivery and using data, insight and feedback to improve outcomes, strengthen preventative support and ensure value for money. The role requires effective partnership working across social care, health, voluntary and independent sectors, as well as the ability to influence change, manage performance and support teams through transformation.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience of leading people and managing performance, budgets and competing service demands. You will have strong knowledge of social care legislation, policy and best practice, alongside a proven ability to work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to develop practical, innovative solutions. Experience of safeguarding, strategic service development, relationship management and using data to inform decision making will be essential.

About You
To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent management experience, or appropriate professional qualification in social work or occupational therapy.
- Management qualification or evidence of continual professional management development demonstrable experience identified within the section below.
- Substantial adult social care experience at a policy or operational management level with a successful track record as a manager in a social care or health organisation and demonstrable experience in managing and implementing change and performance improvement programmes.
- Significant experience in people and performance management and stakeholder and relationship management beyond adult social care.
- Dealing with a wide breath of strategy and policy issues and in a multidisciplinary and/or multi-agency setting.
- Strategic partnership working with representative citizens and carers to identify policy solutions.
- Skills and knowledge relevant to the service area, carers and prevention along with excellent knowledge of partnership agencies in statutory, voluntary and independent sectors.
