As a Strategic Technology Business Partner at Guide Dogs, you’ll act as the vital link between our technology and business teams, building strong partnerships, fostering collaboration, and ensuring technology solutions support our organisational goals. Our Strategic Technology Business Partner's play a huge part in ensuring everything we do enables us to deliver on our purpose and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain influential, inclusive and collaborative relationships with the Director and Senior Management team of the area that you are the partner to, acting as an internal technology (encompassing IS and Digital) business consultant to enable them to deliver their strategic plans and objectives.
  • To be accountable for ensuring that your part of the organisation understands relevant technology policies, services and best practice acting as the customer champion to improve the products and services offered by Technology to improve performance and capability through the interpretation of business KPIs, management data, internal and external benchmarking information and external best practice.
  • Develop, communicate, implement and review the processes which embed strategic technology and service management in the operational management of the organisation. Be accountable for ensuring that the area you support understands the technology strategy and roadmap and is prepared to support all changes. Ensure all requirements are fully understood, documented and fed into the Technology plan and on the roadmap for changes.
  • Act as an effective escalation point for all issues connected with Technology Services and work with colleagues in the Technology Team to ensure they are resolved.

You:

You’ll have a collaborative and strategic approach to building relationships and aligning technology solutions with business needs. You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced, stakeholder-focused environment, with a dedicated focus on driving organisational performance, continuous improvement, and successful technology-enabled change. You’ll be committed to delivering excellent service, ensuring business needs are understood and translated into effective technology plans and solutions. You’ll act with integrity and honesty in everything you do.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Qualified or experienced Technology Professional with significant experience in leading strategy, operational improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Technology or other aligned business discipline.
  • Experience of working in various environments that require complex transformation, digital improvements and change management
  • A good understanding and experience of Business Analysis and process mapping techniques.
  • A detailed understanding of the Digital landscape and across the range of Digital disciplines
  • Matrix management within a technical discipline in a large organisation
  • Business analysis, process improvement and user experience skills.
  • Anticipates and leads in addressing problems and opportunities that may impact organisational objectives, establishing a strategic approach and allocating resources.
