We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Strategic Transport Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the delivery of a major construction project in Bedford.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a complex infrastructure programme, coordinating strategic transport matters and building effective relationships with key stakeholders including local authorities, transport operators, highways organisations and project teams.

The successful candidate will act as the central point of coordination for transport-related planning, governance and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that transport risks, approvals, commitments and decisions are managed proactively and aligned to project objectives. This is a strategic coordination role rather than a day-to-day traffic management position.

About The Role

  • Lead engagement with local authorities, transport operators and statutory bodies on strategic transport matters.
  • Coordinate transport planning relating to workforce travel, construction traffic, major deliveries, public transport and access arrangements.
  • Ensure transport risks, dependencies and approvals are effectively managed across the project.
  • Support senior project leaders through the production of briefing papers, reports and recommendations.
  • Chair and coordinate transport governance meetings and stakeholder forums.
  • Work closely with contractors to align operational transport plans with the wider project strategy.
  • Monitor external factors such as roadworks, rail possessions and network disruptions that could affect programme delivery.
  • Drive transport-related decision-making and help ensure key project milestones are achieved.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
