Make Every Investment Count

At Anglian Water, we're committed to delivering long-term value for our customers, communities and the environment. As our new Strategic Value Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how current and future investment decisions are made across the business, ensuring we invest in the right solutions, at the right time, for the greatest possible benefit.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in influencing strategic decision-making at a pivotal stage in AMP8. You will work at both an enterprise and tactical level, driving the frameworks, processes and behaviours that underpin sustainable investment decision making across our business.

What You'll Be Doing

As Strategic Value Lead, you'll be responsible for leading the development, governance and continuous improvement of Anglian Water's investment decision-making frameworks, including Risk, Opportunity & Value (ROV), Six Capitals, Benefits Realisation and the Totex Investment Process.

You will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across Asset Management, Operations, Delivery and wider business functions to ensure investment decisions support our strategic objectives and regulatory commitments.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the evolution and continuous improvement of the Risk, Opportunity & Value (ROV) methodology.
  • Embedding value-based decision making across the organisation.
  • Driving process improvement, transformation initiatives and systems development.
  • Providing assurance on investment frameworks, governance and decision-making effectiveness.
  • Developing and delivering engaging stakeholder training and communications.
  • Managing and developing a community of approximately 80 volunteer ROV facilitators.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on strategic investment processes.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of Anglian Water's Value Framework and Benefits Realisation approaches.
  • Championing continuous improvement and innovation across investment planning and prioritisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
