Mediaplus Connect is part of Mediaplus UK, the UK's only media agency built on the principles of behavioural science. Founded in 1982 with a deliberate mission to shake up a network-dominated industry, we are still proudly independent more than 40 years later, with over 160 people across London, Manchester, and Birmingham. Here in Birmingham, Mediaplus Connect is a small, close-knit team, the kind of place where you know everyone, decisions get made quickly, and your work has a visible impact from day one.

But small does not mean limited. Alongside Mediaplus UK, we sit within House of Communication UK, an integrated group bringing together media, creative, social, platform, and behavioural science, backed by Serviceplan Group's global network across 23 countries. That means you get the feel of a boutique agency with the resource, tools, and expertise of something much bigger behind you.

We cover the full spectrum of media planning and buying, from client leadership and channel planning to programmatic, SEO, data, and influencer marketing. We also have teams dedicated to DE&I, wellbeing, sustainability, and culture, because we think the way an agency treats its people is directly connected to the quality of work it produces.

The Role

Mediaplus Connect are looking for a Strategist to join our growing team and play a central role in shaping the thinking behind our client work, new business opportunities and wider agency proposition.

This role sits at the heart of the team, helping to uncover the insights, behaviours and opportunities that inform effective media strategies. Working with the team to grow new accounts and across a range of clients and categories, you will develop clear, evidence-based thinking that connects client business challenges with media solutions capable of delivering measurable impact. You will help to ensure that strategies are not only compelling on paper but are translated into effective plans and outcomes. From audience understanding and market analysis to campaign effectiveness and growth opportunities, you will play a key role in helping clients make better decisions.

As part of the House of Communication, you will develop a strong understanding of our wider capabilities, identifying opportunities to bring together different disciplines and specialist expertise to create more effective solutions for clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
