THE ROLE
GFG is seeking a Strategy Analyst to join our team in the London office. In this role, you’ll report directly to the Head of Investor Relations & Communications. You’ll also work closely with the Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, the Executive Team (CEO, CFO, etc.) and senior leadership across the global business. In this role, you’ll gain a diverse and engaging experience in supporting the Company's strategic decision-making, investor relations activities and external communications. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the day-to-day operations and strategic narrative of a publicly traded business with global reach. In this role, no day will be the same and you’ll be joining the business at a pivotal time that encourages a challenging and rewarding career experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy:
- Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, assess competitor dynamics and inform strategic direction
- Develop high-quality presentations, memos and analysis to communicate findings to key stakeholders across the business
- Project management across a wide variety of strategic projects and ad hoc analyses
- Support broader corporate strategy initiatives and business development projects

Investor Relations:
- Assist with tracking sell-side analyst models, analysing competitors and providing financial support for external messaging
- Contribute to the development of compelling investment cases by identifying key trends and drivers of business performance
- Support management of day-to-day investor relations activities including ensuring regulatory compliance for investor communications, fostering relationships with analysts and preparing external materials (e.g., earnings call presentations, press releases, Capital Markets Day, etc.)
Communications:
- Support development of strategic communications materials on key business topics, including crises, leadership and executive communications and regular business updates such as results publications and partnership announcements
- Monitor external channels for brand consistency across the company website and social media pages
- Work closely with internal teams across regions and functions to identify and address any discrepancies between external communications and overall Group objectives and strategy
What We’re Looking For
- Ideal candidate will have prior work experience covering investor relations, strategy or finance related responsibilities gained within investment banking, consulting, corporate development, finance or professional services
- Experienced in using financial data for strategic analysis and has strong data analytics skills
- Ability to translate complex information and messages into clear, concise and visually compelling reports
- Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills are essential. Experience with Google Suite tools is a plus (and / or a willing mindset ready to learn)
- Experience using GenAI tools is a plus, coupled with a genuine excitement to learn and apply them in new ways
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt effectively to different audiences at all levels - internally and externally
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle ambiguity and manage changing situations
- A self-starter with a "can-do" attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Results oriented with a growth mindset and embraces continuous learning
- Experience in retail / ecommerce is not essential, but a knowledge and appreciation of the industry is ideal
