About Bolt
Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars. What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.
From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car-sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day. Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.
And we're just getting started.
Why join Bolt?
- Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
- Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
- Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
- Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world-class investors including Sequoia.
About The Role
The CEO & Founders' Office is a small, high-performing team working directly with Bolt's CEO and Management Team on the company's highest-priority topics. The team leads company-wide strategic planning and business performance reviews, strengthens the operating systems behind them, and supports critical strategic projects and urgent business challenges.
As the Strategy and AI Lead, you will sit at the intersection of strategy, data, and AI - owning high-impact workstreams that translate ambiguous executive questions into clear decisions, scalable frameworks, and measurable outcomes. This is not a traditional analytical or reporting role. You will combine rigorous analytical thinking with strong strategic and commercial judgment, executive-level communication, and an AI-native approach to problem-solving - operating directly with the senior leadership team across Bolt.
You will also play a central role in supporting how the CEO & Founders' Office uses AI: designing workflows, automating recurring analysis, prototyping tools, and embedding new ways of working across the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

This role reports to the CEO & Founders' Chief of Staff. The team is designed as a talent incubator, offering broad company exposure and a potential path into other senior roles across Bolt after approximately two to three years.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Own AI enablement across the CEO Office team: identify automation opportunities, pilot and embed AI tooling, and build AI-first analytical workflows that raise the bar for how the team works.
- Lead complex, cross-functional workstreams across Bolt's highest-priority strategic and operational topics - from initial scoping through analysis, recommendation, and implementation.
- Support strategic and operational frameworks - including goal-setting architectures, KPI systems, and performance management cadences - that connect company priorities to measurable outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support data- and automation-focused initiatives.
- Build advanced models, dashboards, and decision-support tools using SQL, Python, and BI platforms - and automate recurring processes where possible.
- Produce executive-ready materials and present recommendations confidently to senior stakeholders; challenge assumptions constructively and build alignment without formal authority.
About You
- You have significant experience owning complex, cross-functional workstreams in high-performance environments - top-tier management consulting, Strategy and Operations, strategic finance, advanced analytics, or a leading technology or scale-up company.
- You are a structured problem solver who can navigate genuine ambiguity: diagnose root causes, define the real question rather than just the request, and translate findings into practical plans with clear accountability.
- You communicate with exceptional clarity - in writing, verbally, and visually. You can distill complex analysis into a concise, decision-oriented narrative and adapt your message for technical, operational, and executive audiences alike.
- You are proficient in SQL and Python and use them for analysis, modelling, automation, and AI-assisted development - not just as technical tools, but as core parts of how you think through business problems.
- You use AI as a genuine part of how you work and can demonstrate meaningful business outcomes from shipped workflows, automations, or agents - and you know when rigorous human judgment remains irreplaceable.
- You are commercially minded, technologically curious, and motivated by improving systems and outcomes at scale - in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift, and structure is earned rather than given.
