About The Role
The role sits within International Health's Global Strategy team and reports to the Global Head of Strategy. The team oversees portfolio strategy, leads the strategic planning process, supports inorganic growth activities including mergers and acquisitions, and partners with businesses across International Health on their most important strategic priorities.
This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to help shape the strategic direction of a global healthcare business. The successful candidate will work closely with the International Health Senior Leadership Team, executives across our portfolio businesses, The Cigna Group's Enterprise Strategy team, and selected external partners and advisers.

The role will contribute across the team's full remit, with a particular focus on strategic planning, strategy development, business partnership, and high-impact strategic initiatives.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Leading high-priority strategic projects that support International Health's growth, performance, and long-term objectives.
- Conducting market, competitor, customer, and industry analysis to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.
- Developing insights, recommendations, and executive-level presentations that support strategic decision-making.
- Supporting portfolio strategy development and key planning processes, including annual strategy and business planning.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across the International Health portfolio to evaluate opportunities, refine strategic priorities, and support execution.
- Evaluating growth opportunities, including strategic partnerships, market expansion, organic initiatives, and inorganic activity.
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, business transformation, or a related strategic discipline.
- Strong financial analysis skills combined with commercial acumen and the ability to develop robust business cases and evaluate performance.
- Experience assessing markets, competitors, customers, and growth opportunities.
- A track record of leading strategic projects from initial analysis through recommendation and implementation.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and executive stakeholders through clear, compelling communication.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to structure ambiguous business challenges, synthesize complex information, and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to operate effectively across a global, matrixed organization.
- Ability to leverage technology and AI-enabled tools to improve the speed, quality, and effectiveness of work output.
