Our purpose is to give everyone real confidence to put their money to work. We are seeking an experienced AI Strategy & Operating Model Consultant (Corporate Functions) to join the Corporate Functions Technology, Digital and AI Strategy team. This is a high-impact internal consulting role supporting strategy development, operating model design and executive artefact creation across Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, HR, Co-Sec, Audit and Workplace Solutions. Working closely with the Director of Enterprise AI & Corporate Functions Technology Strategy, you will help define future-state business capabilities, operating models, governance structures and strategic roadmaps that leverage AI, digital and data to improve business outcomes.
The Role
The role is ideally suited to candidates from strategy consulting, operating model consulting or transformation strategy backgrounds who enjoy solving complex business problems, facilitating senior stakeholder workshops, developing executive artefacts and translating strategic ambition into practical execution plans. You will regularly engage with and present to senior business and technology stakeholders, helping shape decision-making through clear recommendations, structured analysis and compelling executive storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of AI, digital and technology strategies across Corporate Functions, working closely with a range of business and technology stakeholders.
- Shape executive artefacts including Board papers, ExCo presentations, strategy papers, business cases and roadmaps.
- Define future-state operating models, governance structures, decision rights and ways of working.
- Facilitate design-thinking workshops, operating model workshops and senior stakeholder sessions.
- Structure complex business challenges into clear options and recommendations.
- Support business case development, cost-benefit analysis and strategic planning.
- Identify AI-enabled optimisation opportunities across Corporate Functions.
- Develop recommendations that support sustainable AI adoption and business outcomes.
- Partner across Technology, Data, Architecture and Business teams to shape practical execution plans.

What Success Looks Like
- Clear and credible AI and operating model strategies.
- High-quality executive artefacts supporting senior decision making.
- Effective workshop facilitation and stakeholder alignment.
- Well-structured business cases and implementation roadmaps.
- Trusted advisor status with senior business and technology leaders.
- Practical recommendations that improve business outcomes and enable AI adoption.
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience in strategy consulting, operating model consulting, transformation strategy or equivalent.
- Strong structured problem-solving and analytical capability.
- Exceptional PowerPoint, executive communication and storytelling skills.
- Comfortable engaging with, influencing and presenting to Directors, ExCo-1 leaders and executive forums.
- Proven ability to facilitate challenging discussions and provide constructive challenge.
- Experience creating executive artefacts including business cases, Board papers, strategy papers and operating model recommendations.
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of AI, automation, data and digital transformation.
- Experience operating within large, complex organisations, ideally financial services.
Preferred Background
Management consulting, strategy consulting, operating model consulting, technology strategy, AI strategy, business design, Corporate Functions transformation or financial services transformation.
