The Opportunity
We are working with a leading global consulting firm to identify a Data & AI Strategy Consultant to join its growing Banking and Asset Management practice.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work with senior stakeholders across banking and financial services to:
- Develop data and AI strategies aligned to wider business and commercial objectives
- Analyse complex client problems and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Design and develop data models, analytical frameworks and quantitative solutions
- Use Python to analyse data, build models and develop analytical solutions
- Work with large and complex financial datasets to identify trends, opportunities and insights
- Assess existing data architectures, platforms and pipelines and identify opportunities for improvement
- Translate technical data and AI capabilities into commercial and strategic recommendations
- Support the development of AI-driven solutions across areas such as pricing, profitability, capital allocation and financial resource management
- Work across data engineering, analytics, modelling and AI to help clients implement strategic recommendations
- Present findings and recommendations to senior client stakeholders
- Work alongside specialists across strategy, finance, treasury, risk, quantitative modelling and data science

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines strong data engineering/technical capabilities with an interest in strategy and consulting.
You should have:
- Strong professional experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics or a closely related discipline
- Strong Python programming skills, including experience using Python for data analysis, modelling or developing data solutions
- Strong SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets
- Experience building or working with data pipelines, data platforms, ETL/ELT processes or data architectures
- Experience with modern data technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka or similar
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality and data governance
- Experience applying data and analytics to real-world business or financial services problems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to translate technical concepts into clear business and strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- An interest in moving towards strategy consulting and senior client advisory
