About The Role
We’re looking for a Strategy Director to lead and evolve our strategy practice.
You’ll define the thinking behind our work – from positioning and frameworks through to the narratives and manifestos that give brands their voice and meaning.
Alongside delivering exceptional client work, you’ll lead and develop our strategy practice – mentoring and growing the team, refining our tools and approaches, and raising the bar for what great strategic thinking looks like at forpeople.
Working closely with Creative Directors and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll bring clarity and structure to complex challenges, driving the big ideas that carry across all touchpoints.
This is a role for someone who can distil complexity, articulate compelling narratives, shape work with precision and intent while motivating and inspiring an energetic team.
Who We'd Like To Find
Since 2004, we’ve grown from only four to over a hundred by finding the right people – people that don’t only slot right in to our studio culture, but bring something incredible to it.
This Role Calls For Someone Who Brings
- Consultant Leadership — We partner with global companies and startups to define (or re-discover) their soul and essence in a changing world. We’re seeking experienced leaders who bring rigour and expertise in setting inspiring and effective strategies across multiple markets and industries.
- Strategic Excellence — Proven incredible strategic ability and innovation across narrative building, research, insight, and culture, evidenced in highly impactful projects for the world’s biggest and most impactful brands and companies.
- Team Development — As the head of this team you mentor, support, and challenge others to do their best work, helping to grow both individuals and the wider strategy discipline within the studio.
- Driving Big Ideas — As a studio we work across visual, verbal, spatial and digital consumer experiences – but the big idea is always the most critical element of what we do. We’re looking out for conceptual thinkers who can generate, articulate, and drive bold ideas into reality with clarity and flair.
- Influential Relationship-building — You build trust quickly and communicate with clarity. Whether working with senior clients or internal teams, you know how to bring people with you — leading conversations, presenting thinking and influencing decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
