Job Description & Summary

About the role

Strategy& is PwC’s global strategy consulting business. We combine board level strategic insight with the delivery scale of the PwC network to help clients create and realise value—from growth strategy through to M&A and transformation. Our model is based on deep industry insight, supported by rigorous analysis and objectivity, to inform our clients’ investment decisions and deliver the outcomes they are looking for.

Our Energy, Utilities, Resources and Infrastructure (EURI) industry team works with investment funds, corporate and government organisations looking to understand, invest and create value across this diverse industry. Reflecting its importance to critical priorities including decarbonisation, economic growth, industrial strategy and national resilience, this industry is seeing a rapid influx of investment capital.

Strategy&, as part of PwC’s wider Deals practice, is seeing structural growth in demand for its services, underpinned by strong client relationships and an unrivalled set of benchmarks and experience. As a result, we are looking to expand our senior team to assist in shaping, converting and delivering strategic consulting assignments for our clients across this industry.

As a Director, you’ll have the platform to shape client agendas, originate work, and lead multidisciplinary teams that take strategies from thesis to realised value. You will gain exposure to leading corporates and investment funds as well as high growth innovative businesses.

You would be joining a fast growing, market leading team with high aspirations for rapid expansion in a dynamic industry.

What your days will look like

  • Client leadership: serve as a trusted adviser to C‑suite and investor clients; shape problem statements, craft clear recommendations, and drive client decision making
  • Project delivery: lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality engagements, on time and on budget, from hypothesis to execution; projects will include commercial due diligence, growth strategy, portfolio strategy and other value creation projects
  • Business development: originate and develop client opportunities; create proposals and points of view; contribute to annual sales targets and account plans
  • Thought leadership and industry insight: work with the team to develop actionable points of view on sector trends, drawing on your own experience, as well as insight from others across Strategy& and the wider PwC; take this insight to market through client meetings and other events.
  • People and practice: coach and develop team members; foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture; contribute to recruiting and practice development

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
