We believe football has the power to change culture, society, and a brand’s trajectory. But we see lots of brands work in football, with very few making football work for them.

We’re building a full-service creative, content, and strategy studio powered by the world’s biggest football content business. We’re passionate about working with brands, rights holders and other partners across Men’s and Women’s football and broader culture and sport verticals to help drive resonance with fans through best-in-class social content.

Footballco’s broader content and media business reaches more than 650m football fans across the world each month, entertaining and inspiring them across social, web, IRL, and leveraging our roster of football brands including Goal, MUNDIAL, Front Three, Voetbalzone, Kooora, and Spox. No one else has our reach or depth of understanding within the game. We are a team of over 250 employees globally, we’re a young company with some established brands, top-tier clients and big plans.

About the Role

Footballco is looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to step into a new role: Strategy Director, Social Studio. Working in lockstep with the Creative Director, Social Studio, you will be the analytical and strategic powerhouse behind our ‘social content as a service’ agency offering.

Do you enjoy finding ways to make the complex simple? Are you energized by the chance to inspire, build, and sell brave ideas rooted in deep audience insights to a wide range of clients looking to engage consumers via their passion for football? We’re looking for a strategist who’s plugged into the cultural zeitgeist, and understands football’s powerful adjacencies, instinctively knowing how the sport collides with fashion, music, art, gaming and more.

Crucially, this role demands absolute mastery of the social media ecosystem. You will serve as our resident platform expert, possessing an encyclopedic knowledge of how audiences behave differently across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, and emerging channels. You won't just keep up with algorithm updates, new formats, and shifting best practices—you will anticipate them. Your deep platform literacy will be the engine that ensures our content and concepts are not only culturally resonant but natively optimized to dominate feeds, hack the algorithms, and drive disproportionate engagement for our brand partners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
