About the Firm
Our client is a world-renowned law firm. They act for UHNW individuals on high-profile and law-changing cases, deploying bespoke strategic solutions to make the law work for their clients in some of the most substantial and complex matters in the field.
They have a fast-paced entrepreneurial culture and fosters rapid decision making. They have deliberately moved away from the traditional rainmaker model, building instead a commercial marketing-driven business.
Growth is set to continue, both organically and through international expansion. In the UK, they are exploring the launch of new brands and services. Beyond the UK, they have recently opened six offices in Italy as an international proof of concept. The intention is to expand into c. 12 other countries over the coming 4 to 5 years. In addition, they have a talented in-house AI team. The team develops bespoke solutions for the firm, with the potential over time to create products with applications beyond the firm.
The Role: Special Projects Manager
This is a hands-on role at a pivotal moment for the firm. They are scaling internationally, launching new propositions and investing heavily in AI. They need someone who can turn ambitious ideas into operational reality and make the firm run even better. You will report directly to the Chief of Staff (ex-Bain, ex-Morgan Stanley), who strongly dislikes micromanagement and encourages creative freedom as long as things get done. They also want you to contribute actively to the firm's growth and profitability by bringing bold ideas and acting on them.
The role has three mandates:
- Systems. Help roll out and embed new systems across the firm (in the UK and internationally)
- Processes. Map and improve how we work, starting with the Client Relationships team and legal delivery
- Strategic projects. Support ad hoc projects for the Chief of Staff and the CEO

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
