Who are we?

We’re a specialist employee benefits provider, striving to create healthy, happy workplaces. As part of the international Unum Group, we’re on a collective mission to help the working world thrive.

The role

What will you be doing?

Purpose: The Strategy Manager is a senior individual contributor responsible for shaping and delivering key elements of Unum UK’s strategy. Working in close partnership with the Strategy & Transformation Director, the role leads high-impact strategic analysis, priority initiatives and executive-ready outputs, including monitoring the external market and generating competitor insight. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy across defined strategic areas, without direct line management responsibility, and plays a key role in enabling the effectiveness and pace of the wider strategy agenda.

This role also manages and supports various strategic projects working closely with SMEs and leaders.

What will you bring?

About the Role

Unum UK has recently launched a new strategic horizon and is entering an exciting period of transformation. As customer expectations evolve, technology continues to reshape service delivery, and new opportunities emerge across the market, we're looking for a Strategy Manager to help define and drive our future direction.

Working closely with the Strategy & Transformation Director, you'll play a key role in bringing external market insights into the business, identifying emerging trends, opportunities and risks, and supporting senior leaders in making informed, evidence-based strategic decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
