Strategy & Operations Lead

Location: London

About us

At Lenkie, we're on a mission to help small businesses turn their bold ambitions into reality. Our lending products make access to capital faster, fairer, and more flexible, enabling SMEs to grow with confidence. We’ve provided hundreds of millions in funding to hundreds of UK businesses with our loan book growing 4x in 2025, and we’re just getting started. We are a friendly and collaborative team with a fast-paced and high-performing culture, backed by top-tier investors. We are headquartered in London but with team members across Nigeria, South Africa and London.

About the job

We are seeking a strategic, analytical, and highly organized Strategy & Operations Lead to help drive company-wide strategy and performance as we scale. This is a broad, high-impact role that sits at the heart of the business, spanning strategic planning, leading cross-functional projects, and performance reporting. As a senior member of the team, you will work closely with our leadership team and stakeholders across the business to translate company strategy into clear priorities, support our fundraising efforts, and lead high-priority projects that shape how the business operates and grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Performance Management: Lead the company’s quarterly goal-setting process, working with team leads to define priorities and targets, and tracking progress against key business metrics throughout the quarter.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations Support: Support debt and equity fundraising processes, including preparing financial models and data room materials and drafting investor updates, and help manage relationships with prospective and existing funding partners.
  • Cross-Functional Strategic Projects: Lead and coordinate high-priority strategic initiatives – spanning areas such as pricing, product, and partnerships – working closely with teams across the business to develop recommendations and drive execution.
  • Business Performance & Reporting: Own the design and delivery of performance reporting for the leadership team and investors, translating operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement across the business, and lead initiatives to redesign processes and implement better ways of working.
  • Partnerships & Corporate Development: Evaluate and help develop new commercial and strategic partnerships that support the company’s growth ambitions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
