Role Overview

We are seeking a Strategy Specialist to support the development of the Licensing and Partnership (L&P) accessories. This role sits within the Global Product Strategy function of JLR and focuses on identifying, assessing and recommending partnerships to enhance the accessory offering across JLR vehicle programmes. This role focusses on the early phase of programmes, supporting the definition of the L&P strategy, identifying suitable premium partners and ensuring timely alignment of internal stakeholders. This requires highly cross-functional working, engaging with teams including Procurement, Engineering, Finance and Commercial, to define content, which is ready to be handed over to Programme for delivery.

Strategy Formulation

  • Work with each House of Brand Strategy Analyst to develop the L&P strategy for accessories, aligned to overall brand and programme objectives
  • Proactively identify accessory content opportunities and/or partners suitable for L&P and communicate these within the wider Strategy team

Partner Identification & Assessment

  • Identify and engage with suitable third-party partners that align with brand ethos, customer expectations and engineering requirements
  • Gather and assess key information from potential partners to evaluate the strategic fit
  • Act as a central coordinator in the early phase of L&P content specification, facilitating alignment across internal stakeholders
  • Develop early-stage business cases to assess potential revenue and profit opportunities

  • Improve the L&P process, formalising it into a robust framework
  • Continually track supplier L&P engagement and commodity status

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Be commercially astute with the ability to understand the business function that this role supports
  • Strong experience in strategy, or similar cross-functional role
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience owning and developing processes
  • Have the ability to simplify and communicate complex scenarios and proposals
  • Have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to identify how one issue can impact on another.
